The Ringtones and Real tones of Charlotte Church

Born in 1986, Charlotte Church (pictured above with boyfriend Gavin Henson), once the darling of grandmothers and devout Christians around the globe, has re-invented herself as a confident, mature pop artist with attitude, good looks and a curvaceous body to match.

Beginning her pop career at the age of 12, the young Church broke a record set by the legendary Stevie Wonder becoming the youngest solo artist to chart in the US top 30 and through the sales of her album Voice Of An Angel she was a millionaire many times over by the age of 14. A fact that has let her choose her own career path rather than being a "puppet" of the record and ringtone industry.

Winning the Rear Of The Year at just 16 years old was seen as controversial but the now maturing Church's down to earth attitude made sure she never went off the rails - despite the help of the notorious British tabloid press. A string of public romances including a kiss and tell tale by one ex did nothing to dampen her spirit and Church now steps out with international Welsh rugby player Gavin Henson. The pair have been liken to Posh and Becks (Victoria Beckham - once of the Spice Girls and her husband David Beckham - captain of England Football team) but in Charlotte Church's own words: "I don't agree - she has got three kids, lives in Spain and her husband plays footie."

In 2005 Church brought out her critically acclaimed first pop offering which included the ringtones Crazy Chick and Call My Name. The album entitled Tissues and Issues promises much and looks set to launch one of the biggest pop careers in UK history.

Late in 2005, not only did she have to deal with the break-up of her parents' marriage she was also damaged by fire.

In early 2006, Church decided to go "off radar" due to recent stories in the press about her and her family. Nominated for her first Brit Awards in January 2006, the Welsh diva faces competition from the three 'Kates' Bush, Melua and Tunstall. Also nominated for the British Female Solo Artist is Natasha Bedingfield.
