Born in January 1981 in Houston Texas Mike Jones is one of the new breed of rappers practising the "chopped and screwed' style of delivery.

Inspired and encouraged by his soap-addicted grandmother, Mike Jones set out on quest to become a top rap star in 2001. Working tirelessly around the club and strip joint circuit, he developed his own style of self-publicity. Always shouting out his name during tracks and even at one point also singing his phone number. His methods worked and it wasn't too long before the Houston music scene took notice.

His biggest break came in 2005 when Warner Brothers who released his debut album -Who's Mike Jones in April 2005 signed him. Although not the most poetic of writers, Jones still managed to produce an exceptional first effort full of catchy hooks and repetitive yet hypnotic choruses.
