The Pussycat Dolls, in their original form, performed shows in the tradition of burlesque (a sexual performance that focuses on tease, innuendo and humour) and were the brainchild of choreographer Robin Antin. The act soon became a full-scale cabaret act attracting much attention throughout the entertainment business.
Up to thirty dancers and singers have appeared in the Pussycat Dolls pics through the years including Christina Aguilera, Pamela Anderson, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Brittany Murphy and Gwen Stefani but the current line-up of the Pussycat Dolls is Kimberly Wyatt, Nicole Scherzinger, Jessica Sutta, Ashley Roberts, Melody Thornton, and Carmit Bachar.

In April 2005 the Pussycat Dolls Lounge at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas was opened as a permanent venue for the Pussycat Dolls stage act.

Jessica SuttaA dancer from the age of three, Jessica Sutta joined the Pussycat Dolls in 2003 after moving to LA the year before. Born in Miami, she joined the New World School of the Arts at the age of 14 but disaster struck shortly afterwards when she injured both her anterior cruciate ligaments in her knees (a common football injury). Sutta switched to acting while recovering and appeared in Ocean's Avenue and the Larry Clark-directed Bully.
Jessica Sutta, famed for her dark hair and pale skin is still an excellent dancer and has a body and voice to match.
In October 2005 it was rumoured Jessica was stepping out with singer/songwriter James Blunt. Nicole ScherzingerNicole Scherzinger was born in Honolulu, Hawaii but was raised in Kentucky. Always a singer and dancer she attended music college at an early age and dreamed of stardom.
Her big break came in 2000 when she was a member of the all-girl group Eden's Crush who won American 'Popstars'. They had a top ten single with Get Over Yourself and toured with Nsync and Jessica Simpson. Being part of a band proved unsatisfactory for Nicole at the time and she decided to pursue a solo career. Things didn't work out but Scherzinger landed a few acting roles along the way.
When the chance to join the Pussycat Dolls came along she breezed through the audition and finds herself now as the lead singer of one of the most promising and talented bands in the world. Scherzinger writes her own music for the Dolls. Carmit BacharThe most experienced of the Dolls, Carmit Bachar (said as Car-MEET Ba-HAR) has combined gymnastics and dance throughout her life. As a teenager she competed for the US in the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championship having narrowly missed out on the Olympic team. Her parents were both dancers with her father appearing with the likes of Marcel Marceau and Elvis Presely.
A dancer and a choreographer she has worked with Ricky Martin, Janet Jackson, Beyonce, Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake.
Born with a cleft lip and palate, Carmita's success has been all the more remarkable and she provides a fine example to youngsters in a similar situation. A fiery redhead she is nicknamed Foxy.
Ashley RobertsDaughter of the drummer of the 1960's group Mamas and Papas, Ashley Roberts is the blonde of the sextet. Always into singing and dancing, she heard about the Pussycats by word of mouth and joined them shortly afterwards. With a Marilyn Monroe type voice Ashley is flirtatious but innocent on stage and describes herself as a fun free spirit. Melody ThorntonA local star in her hometown of Pheonix, Melody is the only one of the Cats who joined the band following an open audition. Kimberly WyattBorn in Warrensburg, Kimberley Wyatt is another of the band who has been singing and dancing all her life. She joined the Pussycat Dolls after seeing a poster for them while working in LA in 2003.
Kimberley helps with the band's costumes as well as with the choreography.
